FAQs about shipping from Brazil
Why is my package stuck at "Aguardando pagamento" or in customs (Curitiba/CWB)?▾
Brazilian customs (Receita Federal) holds inbound parcels at major sortation centers — the CWB (Curitiba) facility is the most-cited. You'll need to pay the 60% Imposto de Importação plus state ICMS via the Minhas Importações portal on the Correios site. Without payment within 30 days the parcel returns to sender.
What's the difference between SEDEX and PAC?▾
SEDEX is Correios' express service — 1-3 business days between major capitals, with pricing based on weight and distance. PAC is the economy ground service — 4-10 days, cheaper, ideal for non-urgent e-commerce. SEDEX 10 / SEDEX 12 offer guaranteed next-day morning delivery in select cities.
Why do international shipments to Brazil take so long even after arrival?▾
Once a parcel lands in Brazil, the customs assessment, payment processing, and re-injection into the Correios domestic network can add 7-21 days on top of the international transit time — even for a small AliExpress order. Track with the original tracking number plus the Brazil-side ones (LB / CP / RB prefixes ending in BR) once they appear.
